DIR or "Doing It Right" diving is a philosophical approach to scuba diving, holistic in conception, which elaborates the essential elements of sound diving practice. DIR promotes rational choices with respect to dive teams, dive preparation, gas choices, and equipment configuration as a means towards greater safety and more fun.
